In 2021 a small team of earth structure enthusiasts and myself started a direct action charity to help the affordable housing crisis in the UK & Overseas. The project is called ‘Less than a Grand Designs’ Earth Structures for less than £1000!
The structures are fundamentally made of earth-concrete. Volunteers can sign up here to join a build. On the build you will learn useful construction skills, carpentry, welding and together as a team construct a series of very strong earth structures with a small solar setup and a fireplace. Its a great project with real life changing possibilities for people who want to learn how to build affordable housing with earth.

Commissions
If you have a unique build in mind this may be a good place to make that idea come to life. If your looking for something bespoke, something really special, we can provide costs, concept plans, skilled labour for a full design & build service . The designs can be square edged poured earth concrete or dome structures. Both styles are perfect for an enchanting annexe, a green garden kitchen, a space for a hot tub or eclectic events. We can upcycle make & mend anything you'd like to factor in and have wide range of ways to reuse glass, metal wood and stone.

Everyone is conscious about the past 400 years history of the African continent has had on society, African relations and the environment. This project is twinned with the UK builds, to reach out and in a small way re-distribute some of the wealth gained from British involvement of the Gold Coast , and an opportunity to make real positive changes in a way which is good for the people and the environment. We are currently farming 10 acres of land in Ghana, it is proving to be a perfect environment for building homes for the widows and orphans in the region. A place where they can connect with the true gold, well watered gardens, hand made walls for shade in the summer and shelter from the winter season, in a safe neighbourhood. Your support really makes a difference on many levels.
